A Friend in need is a friend indeed
Our human need for familiarity and empathy is ever growing these days, yet it seems like social connections progressively disappear. We feel lonelier inside, unwilling to make an effort to change the situation, perhaps even lacking the knowledge of how to form real, meaningful connections. In my graduation project at Shenkar Academy, I designed a series of objects set in the urban space with the intent of satisfying these needs through the manifestation of empathetic touch, in a straightforward, legitimate, and pleasant manner. The result is an ironic, one-sided, deficient experience, which exaggerates the superficial solutions that our modern era offers to deep problems.
